Regulation is not being calm all the time. It is the ability to move between states, to rise when you need to and settle when the moment has passed.

A regulated body can meet a hard day and then recover from it. An unregulated body gets stuck in one gear, either too high or too flat.

Movement, breath and rest are the simplest tools we have for practising those transitions. Class becomes a small rehearsal for the rest of your week.

Nothing about this is complicated. It is repetition, patience, and being willing to notice what you feel.
